34-year-old female patient who did research and came to the practice looking for a proficient gold operator. She did not like the appearance of her teeth and was frustrated by the constant need to replace restorations because of decay, leakage or fracture. She was ready to make an investment in gold due to its longevity. After completing orthodontics, she did some tray bleaching to brighten her smile. Dr. Swanson restored the back teeth with gold castings, and the front teeth with minor composite bonding. The patient was thrilled with the result, which was a beautiful, pleasing smile with no gold on display.

Often referred to as “invisible braces," Invisalign is a great alternative to traditional wire braces. Using clear aligners, Invisalign can straighten crowded, crooked, or gapped teeth, and it does so typically faster than traditional braces at a similar or lesser cost. We offer Invisalign here at our office.

Over 60 years ago, the original founder of Swanson Dental Associates, Dr. Richard D. Swanson, graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where he later also served on the faculty. His son, Dr. Kris Swanson, followed in his father’s footsteps, graduating from the same program in 1983.
